Benjamin Chapin complaint against Justin Morse and Noah Frost, 1789.

Complaint of Benjamin Chapin of Springfield, Massachusetts, claiming either Justin Morse or Noah Frost stole one white cotton shirt, one linen table cloth marked SF, one pillow case marked SF, and a checked linen neck cloth. On the verso of the complaint is a warrant issued to the sheriff of Hampshire County, telling him to search the homes of the accused and if the stolen articles are found, the sheriff is to apprehend the body of the man (or men) and bring them before the Justice of Peace, Chauncy Brewer.
